The Gift Shop was
renovated and expanded in May
2014, and now features many new
artists and crafts people from
the Island, the New Brunswick
mainland, and the rest of the
Maritimes. You will find a great
variety of unusual and
interesting items, ranging from
prints to textiles to wood
carvings, with an outstanding
assortment of unique note and
post cards by local artists and
photographers. There are also
many books written about the
island or by islanders, with
something new added every year,
and we carry a wide selection of
brochures, field guides,
information maps and framable
art and map posters.
We now have
ceramic art and pottery, felted
and tin sculpture
and a much wider array of
prints, photographs and
paintings. There is also a
larger selection of jewelry from
a greater number of artists, and
an expanded collection of crafts
in beach glass and wood, lobster
trap furniture, handmade sea
soaps and body products, and
knitted, crocheted, felted and
quilted products. Your purchase
provides support for many local
and Maritime arts and crafts
people, as well as the Museum,
and helps keep our regional
economy strong. There is no
entrance fee for browsing in our
tax free the gift shop, so stop
in and look around anytime.
