The Grand Manan Art Gallery
Features local and regional artists through the summer season in three galleries.
The Grand Manan Whale & Seabird Research Station
The Research Station is a great stop for those interested in our marine and pelagic natural history and Bay of Fundy ecosystem. They also have a fine gift shop which helps support this non-profit organization. http://www.gmwsrs.info/
Swallow Tail Lighthouse
Swallow Tail Lighthouse is one of the most picturesque lighthouses in Canada. In 2020 Swallow Tail Lighthouse was featured on a Canadian Postage Stamp. Built in 1860, it is one of a few pre-Confederation wooden light towers still standing. A webcam offers a real-time peek of the peninsula. The recent restoration of the lighthouse, which is now a fine museum, means that you can tour inside (for a small admission fee) and learn about the history of this lighthouse and its keepers. A climb to the top allows you to experience the exquisite panoramic view of the Swallow Tail peninsula and its surrounding coves and islands. At the welcome centre there is a gift shop, proceeds of which help support the maintenance of the lighthouse. http://swallowtailkeepers.com
Grand Manan Tourism Association

The Grand Manan Library
Part of the provincial library network, our local branch also features a fine collection of artwork and books about Grand Manan Island, DVDs, CDs, Wi-Fi and Children’s Programming. The library is located in the Grand Manan Community School (GMCS) located directly across from the Museum.
